      Is the mistake that the sign talks about golden eagles while it shows a bald eagle?

      Also, isn't the IMPERIAL eagle the better choice to represent an EMPEROR (and the golden eagle for a KING or QUEEN only)?...;)

      Yes.

      Those are the birds that they actually would have had in the middle ages, it also showed people like priests, squires and a few others.

      Damn, I thought the mistake was that England did not have an emperor in the middle ages.
