      the colours on that are really well-preserved! Any idea how old/recent the specimen is?

      Sorry, I don't know the history of this particular specimen.

      (Since my photographs of a living specimen at the RSCC were not very good I thought I'd post this instead.)

      that's fine. I think it looks like a fairly recent mount, just from how bright it still is.

      Could they perhaps have just repainted (You know what I mean:p) it? I know the American Museum of Natural History did that when their dioramas were looking a bit drab.
