This one was a huge disappointment. I’ve seen two other models of Quetzalcoatlus: the Blue Rhino Studios model, which is beautifully realistic and should be the standard, and another animatronic which was at the national zoo (and I believe the Bronx Zoo before that, now currently at the Memphis Zoo?) which had a cool mane and would lean down and hiss. This one... it’s like they didn’t even try. The head is very shrinkwrapped and there is only the barest hint of pycnofibers (“pterosaur fuzz”) etched into the skin. It’s wingtips are pointed instead of rounded as well. This looks like a tourist attraction from the 90s. The only thing it has going for it is size.
