This must be one of America's most underrated Reptile Houses, as it did not crack the top 10 in "America's Best Zoos" even though the collection is very impressive. However, since the publication of that book all of the birds have been shifted out of the house (formerly known as the Bird, Reptile & Amphibian Building) and now the entire structure showcases an outstanding collection of reptiles and amphibians. Tuatara, perentie, green mamba, black mamba, etc, etc, etc.

This exhibit is inciting extreme tuatara envy...must suppress tuatara tantrum...not..working....AUUUGH!

I need to find an excuse to spend several hundred dollars to get to Dallas to visit the tuataras and the Africa exhibits. Now accepting suggestions.

How come every Tuatara exhibit from around the world has to be big and roomy? They can look like they can survive in a quite small enclosure
