      Can't recall ever seeing an identification signs that lists the author citation alongside the scientific name. Very interesting.

      Is this a brand of commercial sign that you would have seen at many zoos in the past? In the US, there was at one time a brand of signs printed on metal plates that you'd see at lots of zoos, but it's been a number of years since I've seen any of those.

      @Gondwana This is indeed a commercial sign, the "Tukan Zooschild" that was extremely common in smaller German zoos and is still quite widespread.
