Weird growth on this fish's face?

150000 gallon tank in the restaurant. Not quite sure what is growing out of this fish\'s face- it looks like an eyeball. However, if it were scrap food, would it still be attached as it is?

@jayjds2 It looks to me like there is a ray in the background and that is his tail in a perfectly timed photo.

@d1am0ndback I see the ray, but that's not the part I was talking about. I was talking about the bump directly to the right and below the fish's eyeball- it was only on this one fish.

This looks to be a benign tumor, somewhat common on fish
