White Elephant - October 2012

In the White Elephant Temple, Rangoon.
After looking at some of Chlidonias\' excellent pictures from Burma, I thought I would look through my pictures and I found these pictures of very interesting looking white elephants that I thought I would share. The conditions that these elephants are kept in are of course terrible...

Thanks for posting! After reading about white elephants over the years in various books, this is the first color photo I have actually seen of one. I suppose if elephants had more hair or fur the difference in appearance (from a typical elephant) would be more striking.
