      That is one mangy looking coyote. Boy I hope they change their mind about wasting such a large exhibit on coyotes. Such a waste when one might accidentally see one running wild. Could produce some concern about an escape down the line.

      It actually startled me a bit when I first saw it before it quickly took off into the trees. Even without the possibility of seeing one running wild, I'm still not a fan of them having an exhibit.

      Would this be a coywolf or a pure coyote?

      Nice catch @m30t. I heard that there is actually a breeding pair down in the domain (Bison exhibit) during the fall. My first and only encounter with a wild Coyote was on my way to the Red Pandas from the Giant Pandas. Coyote ran pass the walk away, towards the other Eurasia exhibits.

      @savethelephant sorry I do not know the answer to that.

      Thanks @cypher I saw this one as I was exiting the domain. It was early on January 1st and it was still pretty empty at the zoo.

      The coyote looks pretty beaten up and mangy like you said...
