I thought I'd give a bit of trivia about this individual as I know him very well, his name is Aré which means "Friend" in the Tupi-Guarani indigenous language that was spoken by native peoples in that part of Brazil prior to colonization. He was for a long time nameless but we christened him this due to his temperament being very friendly , playful , and relaxed around his keepers. The other Pampas cat that shares his enclosure is totally the opposite , she is very fierce , mistrustful and willing to attack at the slightest provocation. In terms of their characters they are Ying and Yang / Chalk and Cheese.

Very interesting - thanks for your comments! I only saw him in the enclosure - has any breeding behaviour been observed?

Not that I'm aware of , unfortunately , it would be brilliant if it did occur.
