ZOO Antwerpen - Bird House (Africa exhibit)
The African savannah exhibit inside the Bird House in ZOO Antwerpen. This little piece of Africa houses: - Speckled mousebird (Colius striatus) - Senegal green woodhoopoe (Phoeniculus purpureus senegalensi) - Red-billed quelea (Quelea quelea) - Yellow-fronted canary (Serinus mozambicus) - House bunting (Emberiza striolata) - Snowy-crowned robin chat (Cossypha niveicapilla) - Lilac-breasted roller (Coracias caudatus) - Blacksmith lapwing (Vanellus armatus) - Black crake (Amaurornis flavirostra) The Bird House opened in 1948 and houses a huge variety of tropical birds ranging from the common to the very rare.
