ZOO Antwerpen - Carnivore exhibit (Genet/porcupine)
The exhibit for large-spotted genets (Genetta tigrina) and African brush-tailed porcupines (Atherurus africanus) in ZOO Antwerpen. A decent exhibit for the animals but horrible from a visitors point of view. The Carnivore exhibits were originally built for big cats and bears as part of the Jubilee Complex which opened in 1968 to celebrate the zoos 125th anniversary (also including the Nocturama, Aquaforum and Bird of Prey Aviaries). The bears and lions have already received new exhibits and the tigers and leopards are next in line. ZOO Antwerpen, July 2011.
