Hi from sunny but very cold Spain, or should I say Catalonia...!
It's great to finally find a forum. Being rather a dunce with gadgets it's taken a while. Fortunately I have a whizz son who is one of those that knows how to handle gadgetry!
We are an English family who began to set up a bird park 17 years ago. Naturally the famous Spanish phrase "mañana" applied for 10 years before we finally got the go ahead!!!
We have now been open nearly 7 years and are finally seeing the results of our tenacity.
We decided to concentrate on finches as most parks seem to target larger birds...nothing at all wrong with that but we felt the little fellas got a bit left out and they are just as endangered. It's had it's challenges especially balancing the desired environment to the publics desire to see the birds well. However, one lives and learns and our daughter is a real brick at caring for our feathered friends!! Being a family run Park we do all the work ourselves: carpentry, water systems, electrics, gardening, design etc, etc; tiring but VERY satisfying...a bit like painting a new picture throughout the year.
