I rather miss the Anoa and American Bison. Banteng will go a long way towards making up for their absence
I'll look forward to reading that, got several of his books already, each one a great read
It's not a Fringillid finch, like a canary or a goldfinch. Colloquially at least, it's an Estrildid finch, like the zebra finch, which is a...
.....which is not unreasonable when you see a really good male in breeding plumage. It really does look a bit like a Strawberry.
Banteng is excellent news, looking forward to them
I remember seeing her @ London Zoo when she was 'little'. Good to know she's still about.
Tbh Paignton's always seemed pretty good to me (albeit now ele-less!), Chester's is of course good.
I admit I have no experience of Giant Otters. However, I used to know a group of Asian Short-clawed Otters quite well. They were well fed on a...
Some of this is rather good. However, you cannot keep Giant Otters with anything else, as they will eat it.

Definitely been here before, in more ways than one..... We've both seen what a punch an aggressive Crowned can deliver when he really draws his...
I've seen how hard a Crowned Crane can strike with its beak. One the other hand, monkeys can gang up.....trouble waiting to happen.

I might find those 'few exotics' very interesting. Depends what you have. There are some relatively easy charismatic species out there.
I would love to see a current and a projected species list for this place. Please?
Not with me they're not. I'm not keen on artificial animals in zoos, especially Lego ones. My particular issues with Lego are twofold:

'Our Zoo' refers to wartime feeding issues, if I remember correctly.
Borth Zoo used to have outside access for their Spectacled Caimans, which bred. Thrigby have outside acces for their American Alligators.
