Cappuchin Monkeys really aren’t that exotic in the pet trade
Wouldn’t be surprised, they do have all the New Guinea species a zoo could ask for
Walsrode better get some Southerns because they’re the most common (At least in the US). Are there US zoos with Bennett’s?
No Bennett’s? Are there even any zoos with all 3?
Wasrode has all 3 cassowaries
Blobfish are Ugly Giant Squids are killing machines
- Male Anglerfish are the same size as females
@ChIkEn NuGrEt That’s good to hear
One time I was at the New York Aquarium and I heard a father and his son say “Seal fish” in front of the seal (Species?) exhibit.
Huston Zoo’s Galapagos exhibit opening next year will have Grand Cayman Iguanas instead of Marine Iguanas.
@Jurek7 ZSL London Zoo has a high profile exhibit for Black Capped Squirrel Monkey titled “Meet The Monkeys”
Used to be vampires, and I have a Bronx Zoo guidebook from the 1920’s that says they had False Vampire Bats, but other than the aforementioned...
@Dassie rat fruit bats are (or historically were) at almost every zoo I know.
Like DWA and those sloths?
I just saw the Mhorr’s Gazelle today. It was all the way in the back so no pics. Same happened with the gibbons.
What about Yellow Breasted Buntings?
Are the gazelle and storks still there.
I never saw a Galinule at Philadelphia last time I was in their Bird House.
Does anyone know of Blobfish on display anywhere? Aquamarine’s website says that they aren’t on display.
Visited yesterday and can confirm they still have the Myna. The also have a Greater Vasa Parrot, a species rarely found in zoos.
