    I'm still in awe of how you manage to see all your birds in alphabetical order. That must take quite some pre-year organising skills!

    Now we are just waiting on zooboy28, who is taking even longer than nanoboy, and then I can post all the final tallies.

    (In the meantime, I'm taking out my Hungry Hungry Hippo game).

    I have edited my final tally post from a few weeks ago to add one or two taxa I saw so often I forgot to add them! As such, my final total is 191 rather than the originally reported 189 :) I may well have missed other taxa, but I won't bother looking over my figures a third time!

    After posting my sighting, I later found out that the hedgehog I saw in Warsaw was actually a Northern White-breasted Hedgehog Erinaceus roumanicus but I forgot to post that here. This doesn't affect my year total since I didn't see any hedgehogs elsewhere in Europe last year, though it does add to the mammal totals as others saw E. europaeus.
