    okay I've added that in. (But all the giraffes are still G. camelopardalis for this list - people can read whatever they like into my treatment of the hooved splits...)

    I just thought I'd post that my year list has increased by one because of splits in the new Checklist of Birds of the World Passerines, as last year I saw the White-naped Honeyeater and the newly split Gilbert's Honeyeater. Whilst I don't religiously follow any particular list, this is one that I had been keeping an eye on to accept if it was added to HBW, which it has.
