Spent today at Slimbridge (and paid the price later on the M5, but never mind!). For complicated reasons we travelled down the night before, and made an evening stop near Kempsey to try to catch up with a family of owls that had been showy lately in the hope of an overdue lifer! On the way back we tried to similarly drop in on some Penduline Tits, but no joy. We did see Stonechat though (and a kingfisher), so not a wasted stop by any means. All of the following from Slimbridge except the first and last birds:

    80. Short-eared Owl - Asio flammeus
    81. Greater White-fronted Goose - Anser albifrons
    82. Common Crane - Grus grus
    83. Bewick's Swan - Cygnus columbianus
    84. Dunlin - Calidris alpina
    85. Barnacle Goose - Branta leucopsis
    86. Eurasian Sparrowhawk - Accipiter nisus
    87. European Stonechat - Saxicola rubicola

    5. Bank Vole - Myodes glareolus
    6. Least Weasel - Mustela nivalis

    :)
