Do you have the scientific name for your Amazon Tree Boa as there are more than 1 species that use this as the Common name, and I am interested to know which one you have seen,as I know in the UK with have 2 or 3 species that use Amazon Tree as the common name!!

Also did you not see the Hybrid Cuban Crocs at Wingham,as they were there when I visited last October.

To be honest I didn't make a note of it as I knew it was listed on ZTL, so someone probably took that from the sign at Wingham. I do see that they are also listed as holding Cook's tree boa. Nothing was signed as that though, but there was an unlabeled snake that could possibly have been that.
Yes there was a label for Cuban crocodile, with one croc in it.

Cook's and Amazon look very much the same,to tell the difference you have to count the scales between the nose pits!If the snake you saw was buried in the substrate it could be the un-labelled Blood Python that I still haven't id which species it is yet, waiting for somebody that has kept all 3 species to have a look of my pictures of it!

The unidentified snake was under a large piece of bark shelter. It was on the left hand side of the central area (entering from the end near flamingos), roughly opposite the largest crocodile enclosure.

Well you can if you saw it! Always helps to check things out for your self and not always believe the signs or zootierlist, as they can be wrong.

Its is Morelia bredli. It used to be just another sub-species of Carpet Python but was split and given full species status probably about 10 years ago!
