    This is a really tough conundrum (damn you, in the sweetest way). I'm flip-flopping on how to conclude, where's Micheal Buerk when you need him?

    I think I'm concluding it's not counting, primarily because it's not a display animal. Other factor's pushing this conclusion are that the Kew Gardens is not really an animal exhibit, also they're not on Zootierliste and don't have a zoo licence. Plus as stated before, "things are complex enough already".

    You don't know how close you were to getting a whimsical one off let-in exemption for raising such a fiddly, challenging, dilemma (but in the end I couldn't because it would be throwing logic/fairness out the window:)).

    Once I have finished having a long lie down in a darkened room after todays visit to Twycross I will be adding a few more,to my challenge total including 1 retro addition after checking that it is correct.I still think that reaching over 300 could be well beyond what I can now reach with the places I have visited over the last few days!!

    Well he is out of the last option now and over to the first 2,cannot wait to see what his final total is,as he was still picking the odd one up at Twycross,he could even have a few retro adds from some places if I ever work them out!

    Quick question (and to Pipaluk too).

    Though it's probably all rather academic at the stage, I was wondering what the set up is at Van Hage Garden Centre? I'm trying to decide whether it would count for the challenge as garden centres generally wouldn't.

    It's a little area with lots of enclosures for exotics, located at the back of the garden centre, which is free to enter. Other species in this area include the usual things - coatis, meerkats, marmosets, golden pheasants, the reptiles, some owls, skunks, and a few domestics like pygmy goats, ferrets, degu, cockatiels, budgies, chickens etc.
