    Indeed; it's probably easier to see the Amur race - in terms of how readily-accessible collections displaying the taxon are - than it is to see the Indochinese race.

    Not that I live in Europe but I've only seen the Indochinese race because they lumped chinensis in with it :p

    Slowly but steady, but I should speed up from Easter onwards, for the coming weeks visits to 6 zoos in 5 different countries are planned ;).

    10. Malayan sun bear (Helarctos malayanus)
    11. Sumatran tiger (Panthera tigris sumatrae)

    The coati and binturong remained inside and I didn't go to see the cheetah... The striped skunk where not visible either...

    Indeed; and at one of those collections you shall meet a strange carnivore-loving Englishman :p out of curiosity, incidentally, did you have any luck seeing the Blue Duiker? In fact, were they still signposted?

    And at another I will meet a maniac..., this forum is just full of lunatics :p

    I didn't see the blue duiker (and they weren't signposted yet at the bongo enclosure), but the weather was very cold, so any sensible duiker would have stayed inside...

    @ThylacineAlive , are we counting the Red Wolf as Canis rufus or Canis lupus rufus, or Canis latrans rufus?

    Per Thylo's own total for this challenge, Red Wolf is being accepted as Canis rufus.
