28 Beached Pilot whales saved

    Recently, 28 beached Long-finned pilot whales were successfully returned to the sea in New Zealand. Unfortunately, a further 15 have died as a result of the stranding and those who have been saved have stayed relatively near to the shore, indicating that they could strand themselves again.
