Welcome to the second poll of this series, in which people vote on the most dangerous animals from a set to go to the Fearsome Final, where we decide once and for all, what animal is Asia's most dangerous? Currently in the final, we have the Saw-Scaled Viper, but can is compete against the creatures today? Let's find out! Contestant 1: Golden Eagle This terrifying, masterful eagle soars through the skies of Mongolia and neighbouring countries, using it's strength and agility to catch prey from big to small. Adult humans aren't on its menu, however, it is known to attack younger people as prey on rare occasions. The eagle is facing a larger threat from humans, so will most likely avoid us, except if you somehow get on its bad side. Contestant 2: Coconut Crab An odd entry, the Coconut Crab doesn't look like it would bother with humans at all, and as the name implies, would eat nothing but coconuts. However, it shouldn't be estimated. One pinch could easily crush human bone, and the crabs have even been known to eat human bodies. Some even attribute the Coconut Crab as having a role in Amelia Earhart's sudden vanishing. Contestant 3: Bull Shark A notoriously aggressive shark, the Bull Shark will ferociously defend it's territory by all means necessary, against animals, humans and any of the sort. It's also known to stray away from the ocean, even travelling through rivers, They are believed to have attacked 69 humans in total, but this isn't completely certified as there is a lack of tracks for this species. Contestant 4: Camel Spider (I hate having arachnophobia sometimes..) This species is freaky, but in fact is not venomous, as many would be quick to assume. Rather, the species is more known as a rare carrier of sepsis when humans are bitten, and the wounds that humans inflict when bitten can lead to infection. They are certainly a dangerous species, but if you aren't bitten, you have nothing to worry about, just keep your distance. However, it may be hard to see, so that may be hard. Contestant 5: Sun Bear Not necessarily the bear that people think of as dangerous, but do not under-estimate this species, as they can be dangerous when provoked. Even though they mostly eat insects and honey, they have the strength to overwhelm a human, and can inflict serious injuries if you are attacked. However, this species isn't one to hunt down humans, and most likely won't attack unless cornered. Contestant 6: Saltwater Crocodile The largest crocodile species in the world, the 'Saltie' is arguably the most dangerous crocodile in the world, and can kill anything from tigers to boars to deer, even humans. Be silly enough to anger this beast, and it will attack you will full-force. In one national park alone, thirteen people have been killed by Salwater Crocodiles in the past dozen years. They certainly are massive beasts, and should you get on their bad side, you will pay for it. Explanations for your votes would be greatly appreciated, thanks for participating and make sure to check for the next poll, 'Chemical Warfare'.
Without a doubt the shark and the croc for me. The spider is only on there for arachnophobes - it is not particularly likely it will bit you. However, the bull shark is genuinely dangerous and so is the croc. As for the eagle, it would never really attack...
Definitely the Croc and the shark. The sun bear is passive so if you keep your distance and respect them, they would do nothing. Coconut crabs and camel spiders are meh. They can attack you but sometimes you are at a side of them and they do nothing so. The croc and the shark should be the winners. The eagle can be hunted if attacks a human so it is not convenient for them.
Somebody seems to have just voted for one (the croc), so that won't be needed if things continue as they are now
Venom tends to prove more dangerous than strength or aggression, but with no venomous creatures and two highly aggressive animals that can travel in both saltwater and freshwater there is no competition.
As dangerous as bull sharks are I wouldn’t say they go to the final with stiff competition coming up. Salties are a no brainer though.
Also, I have a proposal. Since this poll was a bit one-sided, I'll invite everyone to give their personal rankings of all the participants so we can compare your rankings to the show's rankings. @amur leopard @Jungle Man @pangolin12 @The_melford_manatee @Yoshistar888
1. Saltie 2. Bull shark 3. Golden eagle 4. Camel spider 5. Coconut crab 6. Sun bear Those are my rankings. I genuinely think the sun bear would almost never attack. there really isn't any reason apart from if one approaches a mother's cubs.
The second round has concluded, and the final list is here. While dangerous, the Coconut Crab won't harm you unless you are foolish enough to touch it. Same story with the Sun Bear and Camel Spider, as their consequences are big. Next in the line is the Golden Eagle, soaring through the air, it can attack and kill with ease. Notoriously dangerous, the Bull Shark lands number 2, but can't best the creature with the second-highest bite force in the entire animal kingdom, the Saltwater Crocodile. That means that the Saltwater Crocodile joins the Saw-Scaled Viper in our fearsome final, but who will be next? Prepare to be gassed, poisoned and bitten all over in our next episode 'Chemical Warfare' But how did the show rank them? I have the results right here. 1. Saltwater Crocodile 2. Bull Shark 3. Sun Bear 4. Golden Eagle 5. Coconut Crab 6. Camel Spider What are your thoughts and opinions? Share them, we like a good discussion.
I think the croc over the shark is the right decision, while imo the sun bear shouldn't be so high up. Butr obviously there are two which run away with it and the rest are fairly even.
Is this post discontinued? I would totally love for it to be continued. I can also make my own 72 Dangerous Animals posts though. Mine would be fan-made.
