Here's the challenge. Instead of all the negative comments on the park let's start a positive thread about the zoo. I will start...

The new African section is good and spacious for the animals.

    Your turn...no negativity!

It is indeed but i will give it a crack by suggesting that it has the best exit of any collection in the country!

What have they got in there? I'm assuming this is the section near the new entrance. Any photos would be great.

Some of these comments are not positive......

    Will try again....

The tiger exhibition is very well planted and natural.

    It's too easy being negative.

Yes indeed, sorry, I will try.
(or maybe just keep quiet, if I can`t manage it !!):p:D

(Of course there have been rather a lot of South Lakes threads, many more than any other zoo on here, which have all ultimately struggled to remain positive for very long).

    Okay, I'll bite :p

South Lakes has a higher-than-average number of odd taxa.

They have a very photogenic Tayra, loves posing when the Penguin talks are on.

The zoo licence report mentioned that the majority of them died of exposure after being left outside last Winter with no shelter. This wasn't long after they arrived. I have no idea if they have any left or have since managed to acquire more

I have found something positive to say :D
South Lakes is positively south of the lakes in the Lake District!

It is also positively east of Lake Winnipeg in Canada, west of Lake Baikal in Siberia and north of the beautiful Lake Bosumtwi in Ghana.
