I've always had the same dream as you, but I don't work well at all under pressure. Good luck with everything, zooman.
My estimate is that the 1000 days is 3/6/2013 Reality is that it is extremely unlikely that l will have a operating zoo by ths date There is however a small chance that l will have the land to build the zoo on by ths date.
Was always going to be a major uphill battle Zooman. Having land at your disposal after 1000 days would be a significant achievement, I reckon. Perhaps this can become the "Zoo in 3000 days thread" - I wouldn't count you out!
Even if you don't own a zoo by 1000 days, you still have covered a lot of ground and one day you may see your goal turn into a reality! If you want need an assortment of cheap, exotic animals you can always come to the US Have the money and someone will sell you an elephant. ~Thylo
LOL, life could be so much easier if l only wanted an elephant LOL! You see ThylacineAlive, not only do l desire my own zoo! My animal that for some unknown specific reason l have spent the past 40 years passionately learning about is a Gorilla. So a Zoo and Gorillas, what are the chances....
997 days today. It is just not going to happen.... In 3 days I will commit to another 1000 days. Allot of progress has been made in the past 997 days, l have made considerable progress financially, l own a property and my acting career is progressing. For the Australian readers l play a security guard in the 1980 series Prisoner remake called Wentworth, UK zoochatters will know the series as Cell Block H. If l had not spent my whole life thinking about the zoo l would have one day l would let this go.
Any chance of a photo of you at work? My family loved that programme when I was growing up! And keep on going zooman, everybody deserves a chance to fulfill their dream!
I think it's Darling Downs in Australia, have a look in the Australian forums and you should be able to find out more.
Indeed! There are many closet zoo owning/managing/regulating ZooChatters in Australia alone! Your persistence is admirable, zooman. That same persistence will be essential after you have achieved your goal. Thus, your first 1000 days has been as much a conditioning exercise as a fund raising time. Break a leg!
