The ABA area covers the US states (formerly just the continental states but now also including the Hawaiian islands), the provinces of Canada, and the French islands of St. Pierre and Miquelon (close to Canada). So basically all the birds of North America excepting Mexico. The list in the post is those species which have been newly-added to the ABA list through vagrants, splits, and Hawaii.
