    As for the transition taking until 2020, one wonders where this sustainable palm oil is going to come from? once the forest is cleared, then essentially palm oil can be produced 'sustainably'...but in the meantime, in order to meet demand, more forest is going to be destroyed.
    Yes, Unilever is going to need vast quantities of certified palm oil. But if there was a genuine will to do so, I am confident they could reach this goal sooner, or at least find substitutes to replace some of it.
    The most recent statistics coming out of Indonesia, both on forest clearing and the drop in orang numbers, is staggering. Everyone in the zoo community should be on the same page here, and certainly not creating new business deals and opportunities for this company which is only going to drive demand.
    God, what next. Fast food companies sponsoring popular exhibits? Big banks (who also like to invest in forest clearing) sponsoring recreated rainforests. Honestly! Oh, that already happens.
