the Mobile Zoo a sleazy roadside exhibit in south Alabama was closed by USDA APHIS for violations of the Federal Animal Welfare Act and most of the animals were placed.

not reported where? On Zoochat or in the media? It is a tiny roadside zoo which most people wouldn't have heard of, so it's not surprising it hasn't featured on Zoochat (although it was mentioned in passing in January, on this thread - Wiregrass Animal Kingdom Zoo).

If you mean the general media, then of course it was reported, for example:
November 2016: Mobile Zoo closes following USDA judge's order

The probable reason this current thread was started is because more news items have been released lately due to the owner being charged with animal cruelty, e.g. Mobile Zoo owner arrested, charged on 28 counts of animal cruelty

Another zoo was forced to close around that time called Bear's Path Acres in Virginia, also not mentioned on Zoochat.
