Hello everyone! I've made this thread so ZooChatters can talk about anything related to the non-dog/cat animals they have in their care! You can ask questions, discuss husbandry, or request sources for care guides!

    I've got several animals myself:
    - "Gaia"; 1.0 Golden Albino Axolotl; Rescued in September 2018 from a mass breeder in Illinois.
    - Unnamed 1.0 Blood Red Parrot Cichlid; Rescued from a nasty pet store.
    - "Jasper"; 0.1 Leopard Gecko
    - "Tiberius"; 1.0 Gargoyle Gecko; Shipped to me by a man in North Carolina who rescued him, along with all his other siblings, from a bad pet store. Tiberius had a hole in his snout from his siblings, but it has since healed very well.
    - "Spoons"; 1.0 African Fat-Tailed Gecko; Rescued from the same pet store as my cichlid.
    - "Bufo"; 0.0.1 Eastern American Toad; Acquired him for Educational Programs; WC Specimen
    - Unnamed 0.1 Narcaeus gordanus "Smokey Oak Millipede; Acquired for Educational Programs, looking to purchase more
    - "Beef" and "Patty"; 1.1 Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches; Acquired for Educational Programs

All of the animals I own - besides my axolotl and cichlid - are working on becoming ambassadors for their species. I am working on acquiring ambassadors now - outside of true "exotic" things - so I can hopefully start doing volunteer programs, just so I can dabble in what it feels like to do real presentations.

At Tinley NARBC this weekend - which I recommend for anyone to attend - I will be acquiring 0.3 Mourning Geckos! I also hope to acquire a Tiger Salamander and White's Tree Frog!

Always want more. :) I was eyeing up a Patriot Crab at a local pet store until it was sold. But that same store does have a nice pair of Diamond Doves...

I'd love more but seeing as I'll be moving off to college in a year, that idea isn't very feasible

There's at least one person on here with a whole zoo, and one who breeds condors. I've got a few birds myself....

The NARBC Expo trip went well! I got the 0.3 Mounring Geckos, a White's Tree Frog, and a Correlophus sarasinorum! My friend and I also worked together and purchased a Leachianus Gecko. (He paid 3/4, I payed 1/4)

True! They are all female, just wasn't sure if everyone knew that!

You're luck that you can have African Land Snails! They're illegal in the United States. All we can have are Garden Snails, but I don't even think they can be shipped across state borders.

It seems that a lot of you own mammals. There are a few species I'd like to acquire before I'm out of High School. Chinchillas, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, tenrecs, and short-tailed possums are all species I've been looking at.

When it comes to birds, I'd really like to get a pair of doves or some kind of pigeon. I'm holding back on an other kind of bird until I can get my own place. I'm also not allowed to have snakes - due to my mother's phobia - until then as well.

I'm also holding back on species of reptiles and amphibians that need high heat requirements. I'm going to add a Northern Blue Tongue Skink to my collection eventually - I have its custom enclosure built and everything - but that'll be the last one. Most of the species of reptiles and amphibians I'm into don't require much heat anyway. (Most of the reptiles are geckos with low heat requirements, like New Caledonian Species, as well as Uroplatus species. I am also into skinks that don't require too much heat, like Sulawesi Water Skinks and Red-Eyed Crocodile Skinks. Most amphibians don't like it to being too warm either.)
