    The Takhi foal born late last year is a boy and has been named ‘Ned’. Altina nows has a group of 6.4 Takhi.

    Altina posted today a pic of the second Zebra foal of the season on their Facebook site its a boy!

    Altina has welcomed the births of four Maned Wolf pups, three Serval kittens and twin Ring-tailed Lemurs.
    It’s always pleasing to see the successful births of maned wolves in the region (these maned wolf pups are absolutely adorable!:p)

    Altina Wildlife Park has released their five year plan (looks very impressive). The following species and animal-related exhibits are mentioned (from a Facebook post- Security Check)
    2020: Golden Lion Tamarin, Emperor Tamarin, Dingo
    2021: Black and White Ruffed Lemur, Cheetah
    2022: “mystery species”
    2023: African Crested Porcupine, Bolivian Squirrel Monkey
    2024: White-cheeked Gibbon, “Birds of the World” walk-through aviary

    In other news, Altina Wildlife Park has welcomed two Capybara babies. They are being hand raised.

    Altina Wildlife Park has welcomed the birth of a male Przewalski’s Horse. A nice Christmas present!
