Nia, an Amur Leopard at the Erie Zoo was last reported to be having an ultrasound as a follow up to an Artificial Insemination procedure. Based on the timing of this, if this was successful a birth would be imminent but there have been no follow ups posted. This would be the first successful birth using AI so it would be a monumentally significant event and could potentially go a long way to restoring Amur Leopard numbers in general. Any updates?
