POOTSMAN (M) moved from Zoo Tallin to Zoo Zlin. He had already meet TANJA (F).

SHOURI (F) from Longleat died after she gained access to an adjacent paddock where she meet two other amurtigers (RED & YANA). As a result a fight ensued between the three.

Next month tigress IRIS (born 2016) will be transfered from Helsinki to Zoo Riga. Her sister ISLA was transfered last year in October to Zoo Zamość. The last of the triplet named INA is still at Helsinki Zoo.

Since STORMI's (F) plan's to move from Zoo Magdeburg to the UK are cancelled, the zoo plans to keep her and get a mate for her - while her parents AMUR and KIMBERLY will leave the zoo because they don't get along very well.

Can anyone help - were the cubs born at Orsa (Sweden) on 17 January 2018 given names and are they still there?

There are some older studbooks available online. Anything more recent, your best asking specific questions on this thread or starting a new one (ie: where was Marty at Highland born for example)

Do you know if this male is the 'Amur' born in Kristiansand in 2015? (and if not, do you know where he currently is?)

Edit: I have found out now that Stormi's father Amur was born there in 2013. But in 2015 there were 4 cubs, born to Sparta and Bojan, one of which was also named Amur? That's the one I'm looking for.

Amur (born at Kristiansands in 2015) was moved to Longleat Safari Park in May 2018. At Longleat he was renamed, Red

For real?! That's an extraordinary bit of matchmaking! Then Angara was paired with Yarko, and her brother Amur with Yarko's sister Yana. To top it off Yarko's brother Yasha had cubs with Marushka, who is a full sister to Angara's mother. Thank you so much, I never would have have known that was him because of the new name!

On 25 June 2020 Banham Zoo announced that SVETA died on 24 June while under anaesthetic for a contraceptive implant. She and KUZMA, who is returning from loan on 28 June, were regarded as a bonded pair and had had four cubs together, two in 2012 that did not survive and two in 2013. Heartbreaking.

Banham cannot be that 'heartbroken' at Sveta's death as they got her age wrong! She was born on 21 June 2008 so was 12 years old, not 11 years and 8 months. Kuzma is 11 years and 8 months old. I understand that management at the zoo would have liked to have put her down in any case (if they couldn't find somewhere to send her) once Kuzma returned as she was 'holding up the breeding programme'. However, they would not have done this as 'the public would not understand'. Still, all worked out in the end, the inconvenient non-breeding female has gone and Kuzma, the value breeding male, will be wandering his enclosure trying to find her by the time visitors return on 4 July.
