I don't know where to put this, so I'll put it here. If Animals were pokemon, what abilities, types and moves would they have?

I know virtually nothing about Pokémon, but I guess animals would just have exaggerated powers of their existing powers eg. snow leopard long jumping

I think about this all the time lmao its such a fun concept. I've even gotten halfway through writing ''pokedex"es (encyclopedias I guess) of what animals would have what types in a North American region, African region, what can evolve into what, etc.

It's quite fun to assign yourself "teams" as well. Like I'd have a Nile crocodile (Water/dragon), Scottish wildcat (dark), Red-tailed hawk (fire/flying), etc etc

I'll start with some animals and their possible typings.
    Red Kangaroo (Fighting/Ground)
    Electric Eel (Water/Electric)
    Polar Bear (Water/Ice)
    Giant Panda (Grass/Fighting?)
    American Crow (Dark/Flying)
    Komodo Dragon (Dragon/Poison)
    Mantis Shrimp (Water/Fighting)

These are just some of the obvious ones. I'm not good at creating moves and abilities.:(

I just made a list of a few marsupials and what I would type them as: I had red kangaroo as fire/fighting, but I could see ground as well! I would say Giant Panda would be grass/psychic, or just grass

I'm trying to place a type for an African elephant, but I can't really place one (Ground/rock? Rock/steel? Water? Grass?)

    Honey Badger - Electric
    African Lion - Fire (Fire/dark? Fire/electric?)
    Bengal Tiger - Fire/Dark
    Cheetah - Electric
    Orangutan - Psychic
Chimpanzee - Dark/psychic or dark/fighting (maybe it could vary for male/female chimps)
    Gorilla - Fighting
    Cassowary - Dragon/fighting

I would likely use Okapi (Grass), Black Footed Cat (Rock/Dark), Honey Badger (Dark/Fairy?), Red River Hog (Water/Electric), and Trumpeter Hornbill (Normal/Flying)

If I had to make myself a team (this is really fun to do actually) I'd say:

    Scottish Wildcat - Dark
    -Crunch
    -Hyper-fang
    -Crush Claw
    -Night Slash

    African Elephant - Grass/Rock
    -Woodhammer
    -Mega Drain
    -Earthquake
    -Ancient Power

    Bengal Tiger - Fire
    -Fire Fang
    -Flare Blitz
    -Flamethrower
    -Snarl

    Eastern Gorilla - Fighting
    -Seismic Toss
    -Submission
    -Dynamic Punch
    -Superpower

BUT if this were actually like the games and I could only catch stuff that's like, within a walking distance/I've seen in the wild/my pets already, I'd go:

    Bearded Dragon - Ground/Dragon
    Schnoodle Dog - Normal/Fairy
    European Badger - Dark/Ground
    Common Buzzard - Flying
    Roe Deer - Grass
    Grey Heron - Water/Flying

Honestly I don't like any of the new starters.

Isn't Pyroar already a Barbary Lion?
