Animals kept at only one zoo outside of their native range

    There are some Japanese zoos which keep and breed black-faced spoonbills, although I suspect some might have been hybridized with eurasian spoonbills

    I saw that video on Facebook, I also noted a brief appearance by the Red-footed Booby. :) Really want to go see them, they're only about 4 1/2 hours away from me.

    Isn't Puerto Rican Parrot only in Lincoln Park Zoo

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think some Caribbean collections outside their range keep them.

    There do have one in Taiwan, at Nantou Fonghuanggu Bird and Ecology Park.

    Are there any species you know of which have only one facility holding them outside of there native range or country? For example, the platypi at SDZSP

    Black lion tamarin at Jersey zoo in the UK.

    Red uakari at LA zoo, USA (not sure if this animal is still alive).

    Isn't the mountain tapir only kept at one zoo in the USA now ? (of course, outside its native range)

    There is also the mountain anoa at Krefeld zoo in Germany.

    Ah I see, I thought they were down to one zoo holding them but great that it isn't that bad yet.

    Tarsiers (not sure what species) are held at a Japanese zoo but I don't remember which this is (Ueno zoo ?).

    Yes me too, ideally I would like to see them in the wild though.
