Animals you don't see in west coast zoos

    This is just a thought that popped into my head but there are many animals that the east coast has but we don't. One species that pops into mind is the common vampire bat. No zoo in California, Oregon, or Washington houses this species. What other species are not found in the western zoos but are found in the east?

    At least in Southern California, hyenas. The only exception( that I know of) is striped hyenas at the Living Desert
