@d1am0ndback What year did you see the side-striped jackal!? Definitely sure of the ID, any photos? Any clue if they're still there (how many where there)??

In non-mammals I have seen a now extinct subspecies of Tortoise in Lonesome George some mere months before he passed away: Pinta Island tortoise - Chelonoidis nigra abingdonii Did anyone else get to see him?

Wow that's really funny, I even checked his website first by typing in "badger" into the search field and for that one species he happened to only write "Palawan stink badge"

Cincinnati stopped keeping this species a long, long time ago and just had other skink species signed as that until 2012-sih?

@TeaLovingDave, while Margay are a bit more common in Europe, last I checked there were only three individuals left in the US at three different zoos, and two of them are off-exhibit. For an American, Margay are extremely rare.

Speaking of Cinncinnati they and St Louis had Pampas Cat in the 70s/ early 80s. Haven't seen them elsewhere.

They only have regular Clouded Leopards now. Formerly (many years ago) there was a Sunda Clouded Leopard at the zoo which was sent to Indonesia.

I've never been to South America or Japan (or Plzen!), which obviously impacted on the total quite a lot.

Yes but in the same respect living in your part of the world gets you a lot of that 66 that most people would have to travel half way around the world to have a chance for. :D

I skimmed through quick and I think I have 9.

Give me some time and I'll catch up some, hopefully get a few to make you jealous in between ;)
