On my zoo-trip through Yucatan I missed to visit Animaya near Merida and want to know if any other ZooChatters have visit this quite new zoological collection ? What I have road sofar is that it is a nice place but that hardly any animals are kept at the place sofar.
In a small video-clip I found ( ) about the planning, and construction of Animaya most of the animals are filmed in the old zoo of Merida -Parque Zoologico de Centenario.
Any people with experience in this place ?

It seems like a very nice place... but i´m thinking, how will they be able to control the hamadryas baboons if they live on an island... quite complicated.

Hopefully it will be finished soon

The Animaya gallery ended up in Australia, where it should not be. So i am placing my animaya pictures on the parque zoologico del centenario gallery because both zoos are in Merida, Yucatan and under the same state management.
