Ants help clean up New York City

    A new study reveals that ants help clean up a lot of garbage in New York City by eating it. There are also 42 different ant species in NYC. Some of them live in the grassy street medians.

    The author of the study speculates that ants may help keep the rat population down by competing for resources.
