Doc's Harley-Davidson, a roadside attraction in Wisconsin visited by @snowleopard and @birdsandbats, whom according to him is building an exhibit for domestic donkeys simply called Donkey Flats*. The thing is? Its indoor section will be themed as a bar *It may or may not actually be named Jackass Flats. Clever.
The NaturZoo Rheine did recently open a mix between a rodont house, and a playground. Called the Mäusescheune, which means mouse barn

Yeah, the lock downs seem to mostly halt construction in many places. Not only will time lines change but so will construction budgets. On the other hand, when lock downs finally end, zoos will be desperate to attract visitors back
Despite the covid-19 perhaps after it dies down, and which new exhibit are we talking about specifically for LA Zoo? Also the Ocean Institute, Orange County, was originally going to open their new shark and ray exhibit in March 18th, but was postponed due to the virus.
I doubt if there will be many new exhibits at UK zoos. Some may not be able to reopen for financial reasons, even if the coronavirus crisis is over in a few months. It will also cost a lot of money to pay redundancy pay for staff.
Right now the LA zoo is actually gonna get a much-needed reworking of the whole zoo (except rainforest of the Americas and the LAIR of course). So right now the timeline only goes up to this past winter so I would assume from the timeline they would breakground on something. This will most likely be the new California/entrance area. How many of the exhibits mentioned on this thread do people think will be postponed to next year/years?
Depends on how far along in construction they were when they closed and when the zoos are opening this year. Some were very close to completion before the pandemic hit and some were not close at all.
