ZSL Whipsnade Zoo Anyone know the Pygmy Hippo names?

    Maybe if you gave people more than 8 minutes to reply you might get a reply lol. I don't know, I'm pretty sure there's no signs on their enclosure telling you their names. Why do you need to know if you don't mind me asking?

    I have never been to the zoo and therefore have no idea.
    However, a simple google search has told me there is a mother and calf called Nigna and Lola.

    Edi: Nope, sorry, that's Common Hippo, I'll carry on googling...

    Right, I've googled some more.

    I don't know if they're still there as the article is from 2000 but it mentions: Tappita, Torpedo and Tanase, all females, and a then-unnamed calf.

    They didn't have any for a while last year so it wouldn't be any of those, they have a new pair.

    i cant remember the one outside but i know the female indoors is called flora.i was there on sunday but shall be going again at weekend so if you still need to know ill find out for you.:)
