The biggest highlight seems to be the potential redevelopment of the beluga whale exhibit into a new pinniped exhibit due to the small captive population size of belugas. A few new additions in the last months have included an Alligator Gar and a female Spotted Seal named Siku. The gar is on exhibit in Covanta Cove, and the seal is on exhibit with the Harbor Seals and fur seals in Pacific Northwest. The seal came from Alaska Sealife Center and is a rescue animal.
