    2022 News:

On January 25th, it was reported that 6 anonymous workers for the aquarium had spoken out against the mistreatment of both animals and staff at the facility. Animal incidents include incorrectly repainting the stingray pool, which left huge paint chips floating around the exhibit, the staff being required to let guests touch the rays at all times, even when the water is very low, and upgrades to the tiger exhibit being denied by corporate. Staff issues include coming to work while having COVID-19 tests pending (several times they found out they had COVID while on-site), selling expired Starbucks products that date back to early 2018, and paycheck scheduling conflicts.

On October 13th, it was announced that the aquarium is acquiring a (1.0) Sumatran tiger from the Dallas Zoo in Texas in the near future.

*Misc News: In March, a petition on change.org was created to urge the aquarium to rehome their tigers to The Wild Animal Sanctuary or another animal rescue facility. It got a little over 3,000 signatures at the time of writing.

others have tried with the petitions, and all have failed. I have my doubts that this will work.

still, something about this place feels off, especially after the staff reports
