Very good news for the Arabian Oryx - it has been officially reclassified as Vulnerable by IUCN - the first time a species that has been Extinct in the Wild has improved by three levels - and the wild population is now into four figures. A great success story for captive breeding.

That's great! Goes to show how captive breeding can be used to help a species.
