    Hi ZFB
Would we be able to use some of these pictures on the ALP website?

    Thanks,

That would be no problem if you could just mention my forumname (zoofanbelgium).

Is there any updates with Yamuna at Cologne after the AI earlier this year?

Been struggling to find anything on that front as of yet.

Thought I better give you all an update, not all great news.

Jerez's breeding male, Olle, sadly passed away in the summer.

Lyon received the two young females, Shaya and Talli, from Boissiere, but in a bizarre accident, Talli drowned in the moat surrounding the exhibit.

Zootierliste says that there is a new male has arrived at Berlin Tierpark from Helsinki, I'm crossing my fingers it's the breeding male Mohan as the girls there are probably old enough to breed, whilst Helsinki's young males aren't and their female has, realistically, had her last litter.

Zootierliste also says 'Straubing' in Germany have received two non-breeding lions. No idea about these.

Apparently Maximus (LONDON, 2009) has departed for Poland today. I would assume that because of this Subali (EDINBURGH, 2006) is also en-route to Spain at this time or will be leaving later in the week

Ruby (LONDON, 2009) appears to be staying put for now

Do they make their father 'Kamal' the oldest Asiatic male to breed in a zoo?

Kamal was born on the 16th September 1994 so was 16yrs and 3 months at the time of birth, however this has been bettered in the past.

The late Vanaraj fathered two cubs on 1st September 2006 and was captured from the Gir Sanctuary on 5th July 1988 which made him eighteen when he fathered cubs. He died the day after the cubs were born.

It appears the lioness 'Masala' at Zoo de Santillana has died.
