Wait what? I’m so confused. Is jack from the 2011 litter? Because I think Haka came to cincinnati from Brookfield but he was born in like 2012.

Jack is from the 2010 litter. Brahma was not born at Brookfield. At least, I don’t think he was.

I do not believe that Omaha has African Wild Dogs, I think they were sent out some time ago. They were originally supposed to be in the new Africa exhibit per original master plan, but that changed. They were housed in the far northwest corner of the zoo (old wolf enclosure) for some time, but there were cheetahs in there last I saw and that area is also undergoing construction now.

They don't. I was just there last summer and I didn't see them, they also weren't on the map.

A litter of wild dogs pups were born over veterans day weekend at the Oregon zoo. They don't know how many or what sex they are yet. The staff will check on them in 8 weeks and they will be out for the public in 2-3 months.

Hate to bump this topic, but what ever happened to Detroit's African wild dogs? Being 5 in 2007 according to the attached article I dug up, they have to either be geriatric or deceased today, but where were they ever sent to?
