I would love to know which collections have or have had their own badges produced for sale to the public.

I know in the past many collections produced small button badges and many pins were produced for collections in Europe but I would be very interested in producing a catalogue of ALL badges produced.

I am a member of a great group on face book for wildlife and bird pin badges but most of these are for reserves and breeding programmes a catalogue of captive collection badges would be a great addition to the site.

Search eBay for zoo (badge, pin, button) -shirt and you will find many.

Producing a catalogue of all such badges would be a mammoth task; I agree that searching on ebay is a good starting point.

I don't go out of my way to collect such badges but a few I've accummulated over the years include:
    • 60th Anniversary of Whipsnade Zoo (1991)
    • "I've Adopted an Animal at London Zoo"
    • London Zoo: Conservation in Action
    • "Save Our Zoo" (a poignant one from the time of the London Zoo closure crisis)
    • Berlin Tierpark
And also one of a dodo captioned "Zoologisches Museum" although, frustratingly, I don't know from what museum it came.
