A major fire overnight has destroyed the centre's bat house. A Meerkat, the colony of Fruit Bats and three Sulcatta Tortoises are all confirmed to have died. Luckily the fire was spotted before it was able to spread to other buildings (thank goodness) Meerkat dies in wildlife sanctuary fire My thoughts are with everyone at the centre today
