    It moves rather more like a rabbit to my eyes. Obviously it's a step forward, but this machine couldn't run rings around a hibernating tortoise - as it can only go in a straight line.

    I found the name cheetah to be rather an overstatement. All quarto-ped mammals flex there spine as they walk, however cheetahs are the creatures that flex there spine more than most. I rather laughed when I saw a rigid "spine" robot called cheetah. Maybe they could call the first robot donkey or rhino or something.
