I am planning on being the Miami-Dade area in March and was wondering if there are any great places to go birding, especially to see Reddish Egrets as I haven't seen one in the wild yet. I've been to Wakodahatchee Wetlands and seen the rookery there, but not anywhere in the Miami area. If you have any suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it.

Miami-Dade proper doesn’t have a ton of birding to write home about. This list is going to be your best bet. The South-Dade locations are more abundant with birds. But places like Pine Woods Park, Kendall Hammocks Park, and Kendall Lakes Park will have more stray cats than birds. Anything east of US-1 would be worth looking into just based on ecosystems and proximity to urban development.

I would look around on eBird for any species you are particularly interested in seeing and ask around on birdforum.net.
