I know. This makes me even more certain that she will be moved on, especially since the male to have aired the most confirmed offspring (two confirmed, two maybe) in this new group is David, who is also the son of Kirembo...
I reckon she's been moved there to be introduced to Lisala and her two sons, who are currently being kept separate from the main group due to aggression from Daniela and Ukela aimed at Bondo, and then these four will be sent on to Ouwehands.

Felt that the listings ought to be updated :) this update includes the addition of Wolo, the sexing and naming of Tayo, the naming of Rubani and the transfer of Lingoye from Planckendael to Vallée des Singes.

TIKALA was sired by HERI, his first offspring. Father of VISOLA and WOLO is still unknown.

BONNIE (40) and her son KINDU (32) were shipped from Cologne to Apenheul last week. According to Cologne Zoo a small group from Berlin Zoo will come to Cologne to form a new group (probably YALA, KIVU and BATIA) with BINTI and her daughters BIKITA and BINA.

Also, I wonder what will happen to the group at Berlin, since now only an elderly male (Santi) and mother and daughters (Opala, Likemba and Leki) are left.

Vallée des Singes made Lingoye's residence official today on their Facebook, and confirmed that she will be moving to Ouwehands with Lisala, Bondo and Luebo (she is indeed living with only them currently). They also made an interesting announcement that at the beginning of next year they will receive two females and a one year old offspring to join their group from within the EEP. This essentially will be either of the following:

    - Nayembi and Nila
    - Huenda and Makasi II(I)

as the other individuals within Europe with one year olds would not be a smart move (Binti and Bina wouldn't work as Binti's mother Ukela is present, Ulindi and Lokoro are already present in the group, Cheka and Ndeko wouldn't work as Cheka's brother Kelele is present and Kutu and Visola have already been more or less confirmed to be moving to Ouwehands as well).

If one of these two females moves to Vallée des Singes I will be curious to hear which other female will join them (again, best bets would be Fimi or possibly Chimba).

Although it would make more sense for Nayembi to move over since both her mum and dad are in her current group in Stuttgart, I think it's more likely to be Huenda as she has no relation to any individuals in the group (Nila's grandfather Diwani is at Vallée des Singes).

Further bad news from Frankfurt Zoo:

    - As already mentioned TIKALA died on saturday, she suffered from a pneumonia
    - On sunday female WOLO died, she also had a pneumonia
    - The worst news at the end - LUDWIG, the oldest male and priority breeder was put to sleep on monday - he was in bad health condition after a supposed stroke

I can't believe this!! What a shame, especially considering the fact I was intending on visiting Frankfurt for the first time this coming spring, and I was very excited to see Ludwig :( let's hope that this spate of pneumonia doesn't claim Margrit or Natalie...

I wonder if the intended transfer of Kutu, Visola and Omanga from Frankfurt to Vallée des Singes will be pushed back as a result of these deaths...
