The Botanica calls itself a discovery center with mainly botanical themes but has also a small animal-collection ( Home| botanika, das Grüne Science Center ). Now a new species has been added to the collection, White-handed gibbons. The family-group ( breeding-pair - male - Buby being already 44 years old - and their 2 young Wody (f) and Knuppy (m). The animals come from Gartencenter Vida - Huchting / Bremen but because the owners of this Gartencenter have become to old they have started to find homes for most of their animals. Because the Gibbon-family is a surtain local celeberty its nice they can stay in Bremen and at Botanica a new enclosure wil be contructed for the 4 animals.
